The Right Way to End a Day

We’ve had a very busy day here today at the Revue Studios – not only setting up our new blog of course! – but also cracking on with the usual evening of activities and classes that run here every Tuesday evening.

One class we run here at the Revue Studios is the meditation class, and tonight we have been focusing on our breathing and positive past memories to help aid relaxation in preparation for a good night’s sleep.

Here are a couple of tips to help you carry out a little light meditation on your own at home:

1. Get yourself in a nice comfortable position, with your back straight – perhaps using a cushion on a chair or sat up against a wall.

2. Focus on your breathing – breathe in through your nose, but as you inhale push out through the stomach. As you exhale, bring the stomach in to clear the lungs as much as possible. Visualize the air as it runs in through your nose and into the lungs.

3. Try to erase all the negative thoughts from the day and remove the stresses and worry from your mind – these can wait for tomorrow!
